We started the day at Chateau Chambord and received a wonderful guided tour by our guide who is very knowledgable about the history of the Chateau. Visiting the Chateau was a delightful experience for us (two adults and two teens), a property very worth visiting for history and the wow factor of seeing such a grand estate steeped in so much history, and with stunning architecture.
One of the best parts of our Paris vacation! The best way to see what is just on the outskirts of the city. Our guide was incredible and so knowledgable of not just the Champagne and different Champagne houses but of the history in the surrounding cities as well. I 100% recommend booking this tour. Can’t wait to go back!
We spent a wonderful day with our guide on this small group tour to Amboise and the surrounding area. He is so full of personality and knowledge. This tour was the only way we could have covered so much in a day. Lunch was delicious and the visit to the wine cave a great experience. Would thoroughly recommend this day tour from Paris.
There were four of us on this 2-day tour (plus our wonderful guide), and so I am giving my impression and review, but I can speak for all of us in that our tour guide was an amazing guide, with lots of stories and tidbits of information. It is obvious that he knows WWII history, including small incidental details. Though weather-wise it was a beautiful, sunny day, our guide was able to paint a picture for us of Nazi occupation of Normandy, D-day, German perspective, Allies perspective, French perspective.
